I guess you've figured out by now that I really like basketball! It's my dream to be in the NBA when I grow up. I practice hard every day and try to do my best in school so I can get good grades and play in college. My Dad talks to me a lot about my dreams. He really believes I can make it if I keep practicing and believing in myself. My Dad also talks a lot to me about things that are important in life OTHER than basketball. I used to think that nothing else really mattered, but I am learning my Dad is right. There are important things to stand up for. My Dad calls them 'values'. He wants me to start deciding what kinds of things are important to me besides basketball. He says I need to know what my values are and really live them in my life every day. ...Come check out my book and see!

I really want to play in the NBA when I grow up. It's so cool to think about playing hoops as my JOB! It wouldn't even be like work! But my Dad says it will take lots of hard work to achieve my dream. He also says I need to care about other stuff, too. Dad says I need to value other things in life and we talk about that stuff a lot. My Dad is cool. He takes care of my sister and me. I'm learning how to be a good person AND a good basketball player...
